Upper Portage Camp Overlook
From this overlook on the hill at the end of the portage the Upper Camp is across the hay field and slightly to the left of center
After Captain Clark surveyed the route of the portage he returned and changed it somewhat. As the men made their trips back and forth the route was altered even more to get it as flat and short as possible
